Authorities of Barocok health center 2 in Barjobi Sub County in Otuke district are accusing the area Member of Parliament for Otuke county Paul Omara of dismantling faulty parts of a bore hole for repair and did not return them.

Acwera Francis Okullo who is the chairperson of health management committee of Barocok health center 2 told Voice of Lango fm the borehole was dismantled four years ago while Omara was aspiring as an Mp.

Acwera expressed concern that lack of a clean water source at the health facility puts the life of patients and their attendants at risk of contracting hygiene related ailments.

He said the health facility risked being closed due to lack of water since government policy requires that all health facilities should have a clean water source.

Acwera also said attempts by the in charge of the facility and leaders of Barjobi to request the district to repair the borehole have not yielded fruits.

Attempts to get comments from Mps Omara were futile last evening but his political assistant Daniel Ojok Aruca who is also the LCIII of Barjobi sub county said Mp Omara is not aware of the issue of the borehole.

Ojok Aruca said the borehole was dismantled by a nongovernmental Organization Life Line International and it was found that the water in the area was good for public consumption.

Attempts to get comment from Life Line International were futile by press time.
