The Executive Director of Freidis rehabilitation and disable center Christopher Jogole has denied claims by Lira city mayor also the executive director, Adina foundation Uganda that they were the ones who discouraged donors from supporting disabled children in northern Uganda.

Recently Sam Atul stated that one of the donors sent a representative to Freidish rehabilitation center but did not receive good reception which prompted the donor to cut funding to their projects.

Atul blames the donor cut on those whom they started Freidis rehabilitation and disable center with.

Atul said they wrote to the donor together with the late Ben Ogwang Ocoo requesting the donor to renew funding to their organization.

But Christopher Jogole in a press conference yesterday at Freidis rehabilitation center said in 2003, he and his wife Freidis from Norway had come to visit their home in Omoro, Alebtong district but on their way found children with disability caused by injuries from LRA war, who were struggling to go the hospital for medical attention.

Jogole said they assisted the children to get treatment from Lira regional referral hospital and after that, his wife conceived the idea of starting up Freidis rehabilitation center. He said that at that time, Atul Sam was not there.

Jogole expressed their commitment to continue supporting children with disability.
