The former secretary, finance of Otuke has decried misuse of government vehicles by politicians in the district.
In his letter dated 7/03/2023, after being dropped by Otuke district chairman Francis Abola, Gaspa Okello said some civil servants and politicians in the district have a tendency of wanting to drive themselves using government vehicles and some of them have been involved in road crashes with these vehicles.
Okello accused Abola of being engaged in a crash with a vehicle registration number, UBE 736J, along Apala to Otuke road, and the former district CAO Malinga Alfred who also had a crash with a government vehicle along Soroti to Kumi road and the vehicle was not repaired with registration number UG0768Z.
Okello wants these vehicles to be under the custody of the drivers and former CAO Malinga to repair the broken down vehicle.
Okello further accuses Abola of unequal distribution of development; whereby he is concentrating on developing his home area and has also sent people from his area to study at Regional Industrial Hub at Lira University.
Abola said the issue of the government vehicle has already been resolved.
