Lango paramount chief aspirants warn Apac RDC against intimidation

Clan heads who have shown interest to contest for position of Lango paramount chief under Lango Cultural Foundation have cautioned Apac RDC Abudul George against intimidation.
Benjamin Okii, the clan head of Okii Bura and Prof. Richard Nam of Okii Amat told a press conference at highway medical clinic, Oyam Road, Lira city that they expressed their interest for position of Lango paramount chief legally, basing on the 2017 constitution of Lango cultural foundation.
Okii castigated RDC Abudul for his recent statement, warning clan heads under Lango cultural foundation to stop fanning conflict in Lango cultural institution, especially after coronation of Eng. Dr. Micheal Moses Odongo Okune, the new Lango paramount chief elect.
Recently, RDC Abudul who is chairperson of Lango RDCs warned that they will not allow meetings aimed to destabilize Lango cultural institution since a new paramount chief has already been elected, and there will be no more such election.
However, Okii Benjamin has described RDC Abudul’s statement as disrespect to Lango elders.
Meanwhile, Prof. Nam said he is interested in promoting discipline in Lango once elected paramount chief.
He warned RDC Abudul against denigrating Lango cultural heads.
