Police at Loro police station is investigating an incident in which a box was on the Thursday dropped by unknown people at the home of former Oyam South MP Issa Otto Amiza in Loro Town council, Oyam district.

On that thursday Morning, Issa Otto Amiza’s wife discovered a wrapped box dropped on a culvert which connects to their home and informed her husband who was in Kampala.

Otto consequently notified the police who swung into action who according to reports opened the box and found empty tins packed in them.

Ongar Tonny, a cousin to Otto Issa said they are puzzled on the motive behind dropping the box at Otto’s home.

Issa Otto came on the spot recently after he launched a demonstration campaign against government’s delays in the reconstruction of Lira-Kamdini road which attracted the attention of Lango legislators and President Yoweri Museveni who came to Lango and pledged that government will now take over the funding for the reconstruction of the road.

Otoo Issa said the incident has left his family members in panic but noted he will continue fighting for the rights of the people in Lango.

North Kyoga Regional police Spokesperson Jimmy Patrick Okema confirmed that they got information about the incident at Otto’s place adding that the matter is currently being investigated.
