The ministry of education and sports has earmarked a total of UGX 200 million for the construction of a new administration block at Comboni College Lira City.

The college’s old administration block was destroyed to ashes on the 21st of June 2016 after a violent strike by students.

The head teacher of Comboni College Lira John Charles Bua confirmed the development to Voice of Lango Monday afternoon in an exclusive interview.

He said recently the school management presented the issue to the officials of ministry of education who then granted their request of constructing a new administration block.

Bua however said they are still facing a challenge of inadequate staff accommodation.

Comboni College, a catholic founded, government aided secondary school was established by the Comboni Missionaries and currently have nearly 1000 students.
