Kole County North Member of Parliament Dr Samuel Opio Acuti has Saturday donated three ambulances to his constituency.
The three ambulances bought at a cost of UGX 300 million will be stationed in Alito, Okwerodot and Aboke sub counties.
While handing over the ambulances at a function held at Aboke sub county headquarters, Dr. Opio said the donation of the ambulances is in fulfillment of his campaign manifesto after realizing challenges of timely referral of patients
Aboke sub county LCIII chairperson, Cana Bonny welcomed the development urging those who will be managing the ambulances not to segregate beneficiaries.
He however said there are still challenges of a staff commendation at Aboke HCIV and Opeto HCIII.
While responding to Cana’s concern, Dr. Opio said he is lobbying for elevation of Aboke HCV to district Hospital to improve health service delivery in the district.
