Police of Lira central police station has completed investigation against former Rupiny newspaper journalist, Jasper Awio accused of killing his lover, Amongi Monica.
Recently, Awio reportedly sneaked to the home of his lover Monica Amongi in Omodo, Lira city West division and hacked her to death.
Following the incident, Awio handed himself over to police and confessed to have murdered Amongi.
Consequently, Awio who took suspected poisonous substance was taken to Lira referral hospital after his arrest to receive treatment.
North Kyoga region police spokesperson Patrick Jimmy Okema told Voice of Lango FM that Awio was discharged from hospital.
Okema said police has completed investigation against Awio and his file has been forwarded to the resident state attorney for perusal and advice.
