Seven show interest for Dokolo south MP seat in 2026 polls

Seven people have shown interest to contest for Dokolo south MP seat, come 2026.
They include UPC party members such as; Awany Andrew from Adeknino, Vincento Opito from Adeknino, and Patrick Ojuka from Okwongodul Sub County.
Those from NRM are; Denis Ekoc from Kwera, George Omoding Rotary from Kangai town and incumbent Felix Okot Ogong.
Omoding pledged to improve education standards in Dokolo district and strengthen NRM party support in the district.
He said for the last 30 years, Dokolo south MP failed to improve the status of this area
Ojuka Locken said he will also work to improve education standards and service delivery among locals.
Ekoc on his side said he will work to improve health service delivery.
Opito said he will foster development of Dokolo district especially areas that former MPs have not delivered in
Awany on the other hand blamed locals for electing people based on their financial capacity and lies which has affected service delivery.
Okot Ogong said he still has a lot to deliver for the people of Dokolo south and called for support from locals of the district.
