Emyoga national coordinator decries high poverty levels among Ugandans

The national coordinator of the Emyoga program, Rita Namuwenge has decried high level of poverty among locals, despite government putting in place projects aimed to uplift them out of poverty
Namuwenge made the remarks during assessment of the PDM and Emyooga organized by Ajuri county MP, Denis Hamson Obua for Adwir, Angetta and Omoro Sub Counties.
Namuwenge called for more efforts towards poverty alleviation among locals through government programs like PDM, Emyoga, and UWEP among others.
MP, Hamson Obua who was chief guest of the function said president Yoweri Museveni had rolled out PDM and Emyoga to aid poverty fight among locals.

Obua called on people of Lango to take advantage of these initiatives to suppport their livelihood.

Alebtong District Commercial Officer, Bob Harish Oluk said the district received shs14billion for PDM distributed to 69 PDM saccos.
