Government will begin distributing food relief to the people of northern Uganda next week.

This was revealed by the state minister of northern Uganda Grace Freedom Kwicwiny during the launch of the operation of a new ambulance donated by Otuke county MP Otuke Paul Omara as well as a health camp organized by the legislator at Barjobi health centre III which is set to be upgraded to HCIV.

Kwicwiny said government has already got enough food for distribution to the people of Lango and Acholi who are food insecure.

She said government has also set aside 1.2 billion shillings for upgrade of Barjobi Health Centre III to HCIV status.

Otuke RDC Gillian Akullo castigates government abandoning some of its roles to MPs, citing the procurement of ambulances.

Mp Paul Omara said the ambulance and the health camp is in fulfillment to his pledge to the people of Otuke.

Assistant Nursing Officer of Barjobi health centre III Acen Grace decried low staffing at the health facility.
Bosco Anyi Omara who is among people soliciting food to distribution to the people of Otuke thanked those who have contributed towards this cause.
