The speaker of Lango Cultural Foundation also the clan leader of Orupu dag-anywar Benson Dila Oyuku has insisted that the meeting of the council of will hold on Friday much as there are reports that this meeting has been cancelled by the wonyaci of Lango Yosam Odur Ebii.
Last week, the deputy speaker of Lango Cultural Foundation Jimmy Anthony Oyuku invited clan leaders for the meeting slated for Friday 22/9/2023 but Yosam Odur later made a cabinet reshuffle.
The changes saw Prime Minister James Robert Ajal dropped in favor of Fred Ogwal Oye, while Jimmy Anthony Oyuku was elevated to speaker to replace Dila Benson. Oyuku is to be deputized by Peter Okello Oyo.
Among others dropped in the cabinet reshuffle includes people who participated in registration of Lango cultural foundation as a limited company.
Dila said Friday meeting will go on as planned, arguing that Mzee Yosam can only stop a cabinet meeting but not a council meeting of owitong.
He said the meeting is meant to vet and approve the people who were recently appointed by Yosam Odur Ebii.
Lango Cultural Foundation spokesperson Jacob Ocen said he was waiting for communication from Yosam Odur to confirm if the meeting will go on.
