Erute North MP Christine Akello is on the spot over allegation of inciting locals to reject opening of community access roads by Gulsan Construction Company that is constructing Apac-Lira-Puranga road as part of their corporate social responsibility.

Ogur Sub County chairman Miacheal Odongo said the contractor had agreed to open community access roads and construct a school in Aler where they are quarrying rocks used in road construction.

He however says MP Akello has been inciting locals against the move through her agents.

MP Christine Akello Gwok Adako denied Odongo’s claims and instead tasked him to account for the funds that the contractor used to hire Aler hill.

She warned Odongo against political propaganda aimed at tarnishing her name.
