Uganda Cultural leaders’ Chairperson rallies people of Lango to support government programs

The Chairperson of Cultural Leaders in Uganda, Isabaruuli wa Buruuli, Isabarongo Mwatyansozi Mwogezi Butamanya, has implored the people of Lango to be close to the government in order to benefit from government programs aimed at socio-economic transformation.
Butamanya cited government programs, such as the Parish Development Model, Emyooga, Women Entrepreneurship Program, and Youth Livelihood Program, among others, that the government has initiated to improve household income.
Butamanya made the remarks on Saturday in Angolo primary school, Oyam district, during the enthronement of Professor Willy Okullo the clan chief Arak Okwero Yito, who also doubles as the Prime Minister of Lango Cultural Institution.
Butamanya also called for unity in the Lango Cultural Institution.
The Umukuka of Bamasaaba Jude Mike Mudoma, while speaking at the same event, called on Professor Okullo and the paramount chief of Tekwaro Lango to use their high level of education and exposure to develop Tekwaro Lango and the people of Lango
The Cultural leader of Sabiny, Peter Swilkei Kissa pledged continued cordial relationship between the people of Lango and Sabiny
Professor Willy Okullu, while addressing his guests pledged to work with all the elected leaders of the clan to foster development among his subjects.
The LC5 Chairperson of Oyam Benson Dila Oyuku who doubles as the clan head of Orupu Dag-anywar, called for unity among clan leaders of Lango.
The Clan head of Otikokin, Sam Engola reechoed the need for cultural leaders in Lango to bury the differences and work together.
