The German government has given Lira District 10 million Euros to support roads rehabilitation and schools construction as well as markets.
Lira District chairman RCM Okello Orik said the funding through German Technical Cooperation will support the project to be implemented for five years.
Okello Orik said the roads to be rehabilitated are in Amac Town
council, Awiodyek, Etek, Bar, Aromo, Agweng, Ayami, Ogur, Sub Counties, Agweng Town Council among others.
The district chair said the 52 million shillings that was sent by the
government under road fund was insufficient to fulfill the pending
works
