President Yoweri Museveni has challenged security personnel in Lango and Acholi to have intelligence led deployment to counter cattle raiders.

Museveni on Friday met the regional security personnel at Baralegi state lodge in Otuke district where he also directed them to coordinate with their counterparts in the neighboring districts to avoid incidences of what he said blind deployment of security personnel.

He asked the security to build better intelligence to discover the raiders before raids not the ongoing practice of investigating after raids have taken place.

Museveni also challenged the police to make use of the available government systems instead of pushing for more manpower.
