Apac council resolves to name three places after fallen councilor

Apac district Council has identified three places that will be named after Mzee Sam Opio Oceng in memory of his dedicated service towards the people of Apac and Lango as a whole.

This was resolved in an emergency Council meeting convened for councilors to eulogize the late Sam Opio Oceng alias Opio Mogo which was held at the mayor’s garden in Apac municipality.

Among the places cited to be named after the late Opio Oceng include; Olelpek to Omele road, a maternity ward in olelpek and a dormitory at Apac Seed SS.

Apac district woman MP Betty Engola said the death of Opio Oceng has left a big gap especially in NRM party and among the people of Apac and Lango.

Apac Municipality MP Patrick thanked Apac district council for moving to name places in memory of Opio Oceng.

Kwania County MP Tony Ayo said Opio Oceng left a mark of leadership excellence in Apac where he served as a counilor.
