BoU donates UGX 10M towards coronation of Eng. Dr. Odongo Okune

Bank of Uganda has donated shs10 million towards the coronation of Lango paramount chief elect Eng. Dr. Michael Moses Odongo Okune

This timely contribution will be instrumental in boosting activities lined up on the Lango cultural Instituition calendar on the 2.11.2024

Yesterday, leaders of the committee in charge finance mobilization for funds for coronation of Odongo Okune received a call from Bank Uganda indicating that the deputy Governor of Bank of Uganda Michael Atingi-Ego has donated shs10 million towards the above purpose.

In a statement, the Public Relations Officer of Bank of Uganda Carlos Lwanyaga said the funds were got from the donation budget of the Governor of Bank of Uganda.

Ogora clan head, Canon Richard Ogwang Odyero who is a member of the transition committee expressed gratitude towards the support for coronation of Odongo Okune and called for more people and organizations to emulate the same.

Ogwang Odyero said they are working with the office Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu to organize a meeting with Eng. Dr. Michael Odongo Okune.
