Government is in the process of sourcing for another contractor to construct Lango cultural place after CMD Investments limited which was contracted to undertake the project failed to execute it to the required standards.

Prime minister of Lango cultural foundation James Robert Ajal said he got communication from the Office of the prime minister that they had terminated the 3.8 billion shillings contract from CMD Investments limited and are looking for another contractor to undertake the project.

Ajal said they expect the project to resume in about one and half months’ time.

Ajal said they recently meet officials from Office of the Prime Minister and asked them to expedite the implementation of the project and has taken so long to kick off.

The project has since stalled following its ground breaking ceremony by the late former speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah.
