Mps Achon, Abeja accused of aiding dispersing of Lango district leaders’ meeting

Otuke district chairman Francis Abola and the district speaker Speaker Lameck Ogwal YK have blamed Otuke East MP Julius Achon Bua and the district woman MP Susan Jolly Abeja for their arrest anddispersing of yesterday’s security meeting of Lango district leaders.
Francis Abola, and Lameck Ogwal YK, and four other Sub County leaders of Otuke and Alebtong were arrested for holding an illegal assembly as they went to attend a security meeting meant to discuss insecurity caused by Karamojong cattle rustlers.
Francis Abolaafter his release accused Achon and Abeja of conniving with security is Otuke to disperse the meeting.
Abola said the two legislators have been claiming that there were no Karamojong cattle rustlers in Otuke adding that he will not attend the next meeting set for the end of this month.
Speaker Lameck Ogwal YK said he got information that Achon and Abeja were warning them not to attend this meeting or else they would face dire consequences.
Ogwal said they will convene another meeting to find mechanisms of fighting the cattle rustlers.
However, MP Julius Achon Bua accused Ogwal and Abola of looking for cheap political popularity.
MP Susan Jolly Abeja said she did not attend the meeting because she was engaged in NRM caucus meeting and had also tendered in her apology to DK Odongo, the chairperson of Lago district chairpersons and mayors’ forum
