Apac district MPs are on the spot over allegation of snubbing council meetings.
At Apac District council meeting to approve the 2023/2024 financial year budget held at Apac Scouts Hall on Wednesday, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Apac George Abudul decried laxity by the district MPs to attend council meetings.
Abudul said Apac is faced with a host of challenges which calls for the need for the area MPs to attend council meetings to identify them and forward them to parliament.
He tasked the district speaker to write to the MPs and invite them to attend the council meetings henceforth.
Abudul also tasked the district leaders to ensure salaries of civil servants is paid in time to streamline service delivery in the district.
Apac district Speaker Peter Obong Acuda said he will write to the MPs accordingly.
Effort to speak to all the MPs of Apac district and municipality was futile as they did not answer our calls.
