Pader Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Milton Odongo has ordered the district Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to parade before the reward and sanction Committee the in charge of Aswa Ranch HCII who allegedly closed the health facility to go farming.

On 30/05/2023, leaders of Pader district and Angagura Sub County during monitoring of projects found Aswa Ranch HCII locked up without health workers and the in charge.

Pader RDC, Milton Odongo said while monitoring the health facility, they found out that Margaret Awor, the in charge of Aswa Ranch HCII had locked up the facility for close to one month and went to farm her garden in Burlobo, Aswa Ranch.

RDC Odongo said they also discovered that the facility had recently just received drugs worth 1.8 million shillings which has not been dispensed to patients seeking health services there.

Odongo said he directed the district CAO to also discipline some midwives at Angagura HC III for sending away two pregnant women from the health facility who later gave birth at a verandah at a trading center.

Meanwhile, a teacher of Laparanat primary school, Jimmy Ojok is also under fire after RDC Odongo asked the CAO to take action against him for absenting himself from school every Tuesday to go to sell cooking oil at a weekly market.
