The new Kole Resident District Commissioner Josephine Omara Olili has pledged to unite politicians and technocrats in the district to promote development.

Omara Olili was appointed by the office of the president to replace Caroline Angolere who has been transferred to Napak district as RDC.

On 15th May 2023 during a meeting of Lango leaders with  President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni  at Barlegi state lodge, Otuke, Omara Olili knelt down before the president and asked for forgiveness for leaving her position of a deputy RDC to go into politics and begged to be redeployed.

In a press conference Yesterday at Lira Hotel to confirm her appointment, Omara Olili pledged to work with the districts leaders to ensure improvement of service delivery in the district.

She also promised to unite all leaders of the district to support development.

Omara Olili was appointed as deputy of Alebtong RDC in 2018 but resigned to contest for Otuke district woman MP seat and lost in the election.
