Teachers tipped on diligent service to boost learners’ performance

The Program Manager of Plan International has rallied teachers to offer diligent service to learners to improve their performance.
Martine Ogwang said teachers are supposed to empower learners with knowledge to mould them into responsible citizens with ability to contribute to the country’s development.
He made the remarks at the recent commemoration of the Day of the African child for Kwania district.
Ogwang noted that learners go to school to gain mentorship to transform their lives in future but not to waste time.
Nicholas Akwang, the Principal Assistant Secretary of Kwania District said teachers should identify challenges facing learners and address them accordingly.
Mary Ayugi, a P7 pupil from Aduku Town Council asked teachers to simplify their teaching approach to encourage children to remain in school.
Samuel Bunga, the schools inspector of Kwania district called for equal education opportunity for both boys and girls.
