Dokolo district registers spike in Covid-19 cases

Dokolo district local government has warned that parents should be vigilant by testing all children coming back from school for covid-19 virus because the district has started registering an increase in the number of positive cases.
This warning comes at a time when the district registered 52 new cases of infection for samples that were tested on Thursday, 4th/08/2022
The district communication officer Musafiri Suwed said that out of 363 samples tested, 52 were confirmed positive.
He noted that 12 people were under critical condition, 78 are under home based care while 5 were discharged.
Musafiri confirmed the district’s commitment to continuous sensitization for people to follow standard operating procedures, testing and treatment.
He asked parents to be vigilant and observe the children who are coming back for holidays for any signs and symptoms of the virus and immediately inform medical personnel for swift and timely response.
