Otuke

14 staff of Otuke district could have their names deleted from the government pay roll over absenteeism.

This follows a letter written by Otuke district CAO, Simon Peter Akileng to the district principal human resource officer dated 7/9/2022, calling for their deletion, A copy of which was seen by this publication.

Akileng in his letter said the 14 staff had been missing work without genuine reasons in contravention of the public service standing order which was affecting service delivery.

The affected staff are; Akullo Polly secretary stenographer, Otuku Kenneth, vector control officer, Omara Samuel, road inspector, Ochero Patrick, a teacher, Alelle Moses, entomologist, Amalo Alice, land officer, Obira James, sports officer and Nyengo Richard the district planner among others.

CAO, Simon Peter Akileng denied knowledge of the letter purportedly written to call for deletion of the above staff from the government pay roll.

But Francis Abola, the district chairman of Otuke said these staff were absconding work, calling upon them to apologize for their actions.
