Locals discover body of a person packed in a sack in Lira City West Division

Lira city west division territorial police command are investigating a suspected murder of unidentified person whose corpse was discovered at Jinja camp ‘B’ cell in Lira city west division

This follows a report of murder of unidentified person registered at the police under CRB 990/2023 by the area local council one chairperson of Jinja camp ‘B’ cell Vincent Odaga

The North Kyoga regional police spokesperson Jimmy Patrick Okema told Voice of Lango FM that the community members of Jinja camp ‘B’ yesterday at around 7 am allegedly found the body of a dead unidentified person tied in a sack and dumped along the road

Okema confirmed to Voice of Lango FM that the body was picked and conveyed to Lira regional referral hospital mortuary pending autopsy by the police

Okema appealed to members of the community who have information that can support the investigation to share with the police
