Lango parliamentary group to elect new leaders today

Lango parliamentary group is set to elect its new leaders today.

Lango parliamentary group chairperson Alyek Judith who doubles as Kole district woman MP, said no one has yet expressed interest to contest for chairperson Lango parliamentary group, much as they will hold elections today.

Alyek listed some of the achievements during her tenure as; lobbying government to construct Lira- Kamdini, Rwekunye-Apac-Lira-Acholi road and Akii Bua stadium, among others.

A planning meeting for election of Lango parliamentary Group leaders flopped yesterday due to lack of quorum.

Lango parliamentary Group spokesperson Linda Agnes Auma said most legislators had commitments in their constituencies and official duty and could not turn up for this meeting.

Lango parliamentary Group vice chairperson Moses Junior Okot B’tek said he will leave leadership of the group to other capable people.
