President Museveni takes interest to meet leaders of fishing communities

After registering several complaints of man torture within lakes, There is a ray of hope for the fishermen.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has revealed that they will organize a meeting with leaders of fishing communities in June this year.
The President made the revelation while campaigning for NRM candidate in Dokolo woman MP by-election, Janet Adongo Elau at Amitiburu Primary in Kangai Sub County.

This followed complaints from locals about alleged mistreatment of fishermen by the fisheries protection unit.
President Museveni said soldiers from the fisheries protection unit were deployed on Lakes to fight illegal fishing.
He said a meeting will be held with leaders of fishing communities in June this year, to resolve on complaints of mistreatment of fishermen.
Museveni said government will tarmac Dokolo-Namusale road.
He encouraged locals to embrace commercial agriculture and business to fight household poverty.
Museveni asked the people of Dokolo to support NRM flag bearer, Janet Adongo Elau.
He further declared that he will appoint NRM chairperson for Dokolo district, Beatrice Abang Akia an RDC.
NRM flag bearer, Janet Elau asked people of Dokolo to elect her to boost lobbing capacity for the district from the government.
