North Kyoga RPC Obura quits police after 36 years of service

North Kyoga Regional Police Commander, CP Deo Obura has retired from the Uganda Police Force after illustrious years of service spanning 36 years.

After clocking the mandatory retirement age of 60years, Obura on Monday handed over office to his former deputy,SSP Allan Tugiziire at a function held at North Kyoga regional Police headquarters, Erute, Lira City.

In his address to police officers,Obura appreciated an exceptional and wonderful team with a rich variety of experience which he leaves behind.

He encouraged officers to work on building their career and always ensure that they do their work diligently and focus in securing life and property in a committed and professional manner in partnership with the public in order to promote socio -economic development.

According to Obura,during his 36 years tenure in the Uganda Police Force, he leaves a clean record as he never faced any discplinary process let alone being slapped with a Crimimal charge.

Obura urged all officers in the region to support Tugiziire and accord him maximum cooperation as he commands the region.
