Diocese of Lango has suspended Ordinand Calvin Ngura Mutagabe over misconduct.

Until his suspension, Mutagabe, Journalist turned cleric was serving as the Curate in charge general duties at St. Augustine Church Barogole, Lira Urban Archdeaconry.

The singing Cleric came to the lime light, around 2021, after he started conducting healing and deliverance services, where a section of Christians believe he has anointed gift of healing.

In suspension letter addressed to Ngura Calvin Mutagabe dated 31 st/05/2024, by Lango Diocesan secretary, Hudson Ogwali, he has been asked to vacate St. Augustine church, Barogole where he was posted as Curate, and move to the diocesan secretariat while based at home until the Diocese receives a report from his Parish Priest signifying improved discipline.

During this time, Mugabe has been banned from conducting any church ministry, unless assigned to him by the Diocesan Bishop or his representative.

Ngura’s problems stem from disloyalty and disobeying those in authority in the Church, something Ogwali says he was cautioned multiple times but could not heed to the instructions of his superiors

He has however advised Mutagabe that during this time of suspension, he should go back home live a prayerful life, reflect on his action and reform, if he is still interested in serving God.

Diocesan Communications Officer David Livingstone Okello confirmed Ngura Mugabe’s suspension as investigation into whether or not he was involved in the undisclosed actions.

Efforts to reach Ord.Ngura Mutagabe for comments were futile as his known telephone number was busy by press time.
