DP roots for peaceful transfer of power

The Democratic Party (DP) is rooting for change of government without bloodshed.
The secretary general of DP Dr. Siranda Gerald Blacks made the remarks while meeting the party chairpersons of Lango at Alpha Resort, Lira city as part of efforts to mobilize more people to join the party.
He said they are also collecting challenges that the party leaders are facing for redress as well as understanding the relationship and agreement between DP and the NRM.
The National Organizing Secretary of the DP Herbert Ritagwera said they have identified four strategies aimed to strengthen the party support including meeting of the party leaders ahead of the 2026 elections.
Paska Grace Ogwang who represents Lango Secretariat in DP said this meeting will boost efforts in strengthening their party support in Lango.
