ASAN and Abubakar Technical Services restore hope in the leadership of Apac municipality following the improvement in the pace of their work on the Roads being constructed under USMID program.
The roads under construction using the funds from Municipal Infrastructural Development-USMID are; Chegere 0.5kms and Chawente 0.6kms, but there have been complaints of slow works by the contractor which caused the extension of contract period up to September this year.
Mayor Apac Municipal council Ongom Eyul said their meeting with the contractors has yielded fruit since they are seriously working and have hired more laborers which he said has made them hope that the work of tarmacking the road will be complete by September.
He said currently, the contractors are working on the drainage channels since the actual work of tarmacking is complete.
As USMID closes in December this year, Eyul said they have received additional funding of Shs 8billion that will be used to finance the tarmacking of 1.3 kilometer roads of; Biacara and Ebula Lane.
Ongom Eyul said the public procurement and disposal of public assets Authority -PPDA has tasked them to source for a contractor to do this work.
