Lira City West Division police on the spot for trying to conceal defilement case of 14 -year- old girl

Lira City West Division police is on the spot over allegation of trying to conceal a defilement case of a 14 year old girl.
According to reports, Engineer Gerald Ogoso who is constructing Dokolo district woman MP, Cilicia Atim Ogwal’s house on Obote Avenue, Lira city allegedly defiled a 14 year old minor and the matter was reported at Lira City West Police Station.
Kevin Apili an aunt to the victim said Eng. Ogoso was arrested but his relatives have reportedly been threatening them and trying to bribe them to drop the case, much as they want to get justice for their daughter.
Apili also said documents relating to the case were reportedly confiscated by police of Lira city west division, including a medical report signed by Dr. Francis Olwa that confirms that the victim was defiled.
The victim said Gerald Ogoso who is her auntie’s lover defiled her while her auntie was asleep after increasing the volume of the radio and threatened to stab her with a knife if she made an alarm.
The case of aggravated defilement is registered as O4/05/08/23 at Lira City West Division against Eng Ogoso
