President of the National Unity Platform Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu has decried what he terms as theft and corruption in parliament of Uganda.

He accused both the opposition and MPs from the ruling NRM of theft of public funds.

Addressing locals of Dokolo District at Angwecibangi Primary School during campaigns for the party flag bearer in Dokolo woman MP by-election Harriet Ageno, Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine said Dokolo district is blessed to have someone in the person of Ageno who will fight corruption in parliament.

He said people of Dokolo district are in need of someone who is in the know of their problems just like Harriet Ageno who will work for their good.

Kyagulanyi accused the ruling National Resistance Movement government of neglecting northern Uganda and Dokolo District that are still languishing in poverty and lagging behind in terms of development in areas of roads and health infrastructure.

He said Uganda is blessed with lots of resources but it’s unfortunate that revenue collected is always misused by some greedy people.

National Unity Platform candidate, Harriet Ageno said she will work to ensure people who lost their cattle in Lango in past insurgencies are compensated.

She further pledged to offer an ambulance to support patients’ referral in Dokolo district.
