Man beaten to death for stealing hard earned petrol from businessman

Locals of Alango trading center in Otuke district have beaten to death a suspected thief who is alleged to have stolen 40litres of petrol from a local businessman.
The deceased, Okullo Bad Boy a resident of Baraliro in Alango Sub County according to report made a hole on the wall of Moses Acar’s house and stole the fuel which he hid in the bush.
The LC1 chairman of Amintenyo trading center Tom Odongo said Okullu on Monday went with a motorcycle to pick the fuel from the bush at around 8pm but was consequently identified by angry locals who arrested and beat him up seriously.
Odongo said Okullu was rescued by police who took him to Orum health center IV for medical attention but his life could not be saved.
The LC further warned people against theft at this time that people are agitated by the high cost of living.
