Kwania district is set to receive a mortuary at Aduku Health Center IV and a maternity ward at Nambieso Health center III constructed with support from Discretionary development equalization Grant (DDEG).

The construction of a mortuary at Aduku HCIV will cost 80 million shillings while that of Nambieso Health Center III will cost 80 million shillings and will be undertaken by the UPDF Engineering Brigade.

Joan Abutu the secretary health and education at Kwania district local government said they expect to receive the projects next week. She said the construction of the mortuary puts Aduku HCIV at a high chance of being upgraded to a district hospital.

Agnes Akite a resident of Ajengi, Bung parish, Nambieso Sub County said the construction of a mortuary at Aduku HCIV will improve health service delivery at the facility since patients have for long been sharing wards with dead bodies.

Akite said the construction of a maternity ward at Nambieso HCIV will support mothers seeking delivery at the facility.

Kwania DHO Moses Ngura hailed the UPDF Engineering Brigade for the standard work exhibited in the duo projects.
